A woman is dead and four other people are hurt after two shootings in Folkston, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
A witness tells Action News Jax that the American Legion was rented out Saturday night for a big party.
She said a fight broke out, and someone started shooting.
Investigators say shots were also fired at the Flash Foods on Main Street.

Shalena Rogers said her 9-year-old daughter came into her room and told her the police lights woke her up.
Her window faces the gas station.
“Very scary when something like that happens, especially 30-40 feet away from you,” Rogers said.
“There could have been a stray bullet, somebody could’ve tried to break into my house.”
Investigators say right now, no one is in custody for the shootings. The GBI confirmed they are believed to be connected.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased.
“It’s very devastating for the family, for the small community,” Rogers said.
Investigators are asking any witnesses to call the police.
