Mother talks about daughter's murder

Kip Lynch and Family

None — ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. -- A mother is mourning the loss of her daughter and granddaughter. Police say her son-in-law killed them.

Christina Kulik should be celebrating Mother's Day soon. Instead she has to bury her daughter. "I lost my whole family. I lost my daughter, my granddaughter and now a son-in-law. It was just a horrible day," said Kulik.

Raquell and Kip Lynch were the picture perfect family and a military family. But that changed a week ago, leaving a mother without answers. "My daughter sat home for a year waiting for her husband to come home. I've gotten no information from them and I just feel I deserve more than that."

Raquell and Kip Lynch married a year ago and Kip was stationed in Alaska. Police there believe the army police officer killed his wife and daughter and then shot himself. Raquell's brother thinks Kip's tour in Afghanistan had something to do with it. "Obviously he needed some kind of psychiatric help and we wish he'd gotten it before the tragedy occurred," said Raquell's brother, Angel Lopez.

Now all they have are memories and a mother is left to bury her daughter and granddaughter. Kip Lynch is still in the hospital in Alaska. Family members tell Action News he is not conscious so police haven't been able to talk with him.

The funeral services for Raquell and her daughter are Sunday at 3pm at the Cedar Bay Funeral home.
