Brazilian rugby player says yes to proposal during Rio Olympics

Volunteer Marjorie Enya (R) and rugby player Isadora Cerullo of Brazil smile after proposing marriage after the Women's Gold Medal Rugby Sevens match between Australia and New Zealand on Day 3 of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Marjorie Enya was at the Rio Olympics Monday night when she asked Brazil women's rugby sevens player Isadora Cerullo to marry her.

Cerullo said yes.

"I wanted to show people that love wins," Enya said.

The proposal happened at Deodoro Stadium after Cerullo's team finished ninth in the Olympics' inaugural showing of the event.

After the medal ceremony, Enya, who is a manager at the stadium, grabbed a microphone and gave an emotional speech to the entire crowd.

Enya told the BBC afterward, "As soon as I knew she was in the squad I thought, 'I have to make this special ... The Olympic Games can look like closure but, for me, it's starting a new life with someone."
