GREENSBORO, N.C. — No one was happier to see a North Carolina man released from the hospital after 20 days fighting the coronavirus than his yellow Labrador Amber.
Joe Vinable was hospitalized Dec. 24 with respiratory failure, WFMY reported. Step daughter Tori Whalen said the dog has been sad and pouting ever since.
Amber was first in line outside of the hospital when Vinable was released.
“It was a very, very lonely 20 days of not being able to have good communication, not being able to see him and be with him, so I’m just thrilled to death to have them back together again,” Whalen said.
💓SO WHOLESOME💓 When Joe Vinable got to leave the hospital, you better believe his best buddy Amber was right there to greet him. https://t.co/SAr3RTWGwK
