COVID-19 coordinator Jeff Zients said that the distribution of the vaccines will be increased another 5% over the next three weeks to 10.5 million doses, up 20% since President Joe Biden took office on Jan. 20.

One million doses will be distributed to 6,500 pharmacies next week, the AP reported.

The vaccines will be produced by increased output from Moderna and Pfizer and will be in addition to the 10.5 million doses, CNN reported.

“We’re doing all we can to monitor and help the manufacturers produce as much vaccine as possible,” Zients said, according to CNN. “To the increase of over 20% — that’s happened since the beginning of the administration. That’s going directly to states, territories and tribes, plus this million to pharmacies, directly. It’s all a result of the manufacturing scaling up, and we hope that we can do all we can, and we will do all we can, to continue that scale up and make more vaccines available.”
