GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A University of Florida student fell from a sixth-floor partition and died early Sunday, Gainesville police said.

Chance Wolf, a 20-year-old from Weston, Fla., was taken to UF Health, where he was pronounced dead at 2:35 a.m. The incident occurred at the Social 28 apartments on 13th Street.

Police said a review of security video from multiple cameras shows Wolf exit  an elevator, walk down the hallway, open the double doors that overlook an interior courtyard, and walk forward.

He fell over a 46 inch partition to the ground below.

Police said there is no evidence of foul play.

Alachua County and University of Florida crisis counselors were onhand to assist floor residents, the majority of whom were Wolf's fraternity brothers.
