AFTER "THE MASKED SINGER" | Keep your TV on FOX30 for Action News Jax at 10 to watch local investigations you won't find anywhere else

If you're not watching "The Masked Singer" -- the celebrity singing competition with a mystery twist -- you still have time to get caught up!

Here are the seven things you need to know to get caught up before Week 8 airs Wednesday on FOX30 at 9 p.m.:

1. The final five masks will be competing Wednesday night and TWO will be unmasked.

You can see The Bee, The Peacock, The Lion, The Rabbit and The Monster perform on Wednesday night.

2. The rumors have been flying about the identities of the Masked Singers.

Neil Patrick Harris swears he's not The Peacock. Others believe 'NSYNC singer Joey Fatone is The Rabbit while others think it's actor/singer Donnie Wahlberg (who also happens to be married to judge Jenny McCarthy). When it comes to The Bee, there's buzz that it the singer behind that mask could be Gladys Knight. Guess we'll all have to watch to find out for sure.

3. So far, seven singers have been unmasked.

The competition started out with 12 masked singers. So far, six have been revealed -- Singer LaToya Jackson as The Alien, talk show host and actress Ricki Lake as The Raven, Actress Tori Spelling as The Unicorn, Comedian Margaret Cho as The Poodle, NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw as The Deer, Comedian Tommy Chong as The Pineapple and NFL Player Antonio Brown as The Hippo.

4. The masked celebs have a great amount of critical recognition.

According to FOX, the "The Masked Singer" competitors "have earned a total of 65 Grammy Nominations, 16 Emmy Award nominations, 16 multi-platinum albums and 4 Super Bowl titles."

5. An all-star panel is guiding the audience through the "who sung it" mystery.

Nick Cannon is host of "The Masked Singer" and leading talent shows is very familiar territory for him -- he's also served as host for MTV's "Wild N' Out" and NBC's "America's Got Talent."

The judges are also well-known in the entertainment industry; Grammy-nominated singers Robin Thicke ("Blurred Lines") and Nicole Scherzinger (lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls and judge on "The X-Factor"), model/actress/TV host Jenny McCarthy ("Singled Out" and "The View") and comedian Ken Jeong ("The Hangover" movies).

6. To help with the guessing, the audience and the panel are given clues as to who the singer may be.

Throughout the run of the show, several clues for each singer have been shown: A hand holding whale figurines next to The Peacock; A spinning skateboard wheel shown next to The Monster; A shot of measuring cups shown next to The Bee; The Rabbit stopping a basketball with their foot; and The Lion working on what appears to be a wine rack.

7. The mysterious, bizarre singing competition has been renewed for a second season.

It was announced last month that "The Masked Singer" would be back for a second season. Since its premiere in January, the show has become FOX's most-watched unscripted series.

8. The Season 1 finale is set for the end of February.

"The Masked Singer" will have a two-hour season finale on Wednesday, Feb 27 on FOX30.
