Jacksonville, FL. — UPDATE 3/5/2021 8:46 p.m.

A fifth suspect has been arrested for the fatal triple shooting. 18-year-old Robert Kay was arrested and charged with resisting officer without violence and conspiracy to commit. He is being held on a $225,000 bond.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Four teenagers have been charged with second-degree murder in regards to a fatal triple shooting that happened Monday at the Calloway Cove Apartments in Moncrief.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced that the suspects are between the ages of 14 to 18.

Police said it started when gang units heard several shots fired early in the morning.

Investigators said the teens planned a robbery that ended with a shooting.

Detectives later found two men and a woman dead inside one of the apartments.

Action News Jax learned the victims were Sara Cancel Urriola, a 30-year-old mother, as well as a 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old man.

A family spokesperson for Urriola shared the following message with us:

“We have lost a loving, caring, wife, mother, daughter, niece, cousin, sister, aunt, best-friend and friend today. Sara loved her friends and family very much and the friends that knew her know she was all about the well-being of her family. She loved to dance, dress up, and enjoyed all family events. She loved music and enjoyed being with her family and friends more than anything, being the center of the entire family. She was the light, the glue, and the spirit of the family. Dancing was Sara’s first passion and love. She started her career in Criminal Justice, earned her AA Degree at FSCJ, and Bachelor’s at UNF in Jacksonville, and she was currently working towards earning her Master’s at FSU. Sara loved to travel with her family and friends relishing her time with her close knit family. But the ultimate love of her life was her son Kevin Alexander. Born in Panama, Sara Cancel Urriola came to the United States to begin her life with family and friends here in Jacksonville and her future was incredibly bright and forthcoming. Everyone that came in contact with her immediately fell in love with her. All will continue to cherish and carry on her legacy.”

JSO saw the suspects leaving in a dark-colored car, later found to be reported stolen from Clay County, and tried to stop them.

The suspects led police on a 3-mile pursuit, with the 14 year old driving the car.

The four individuals who were in the vehicle have all been charged with second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit robbery.
