Jacksonville, FL — Dave & Buster’s Entertainment has announced it’s buying Main Event.
It’s an $835 million deal, according to an April 6 Dave & Buster’s news release.
The news release also offered a statement from Board Chair and Interim Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Sheehan.
He said, “Main Event targets a different demographic, families with younger children, while Dave & Buster’s has primarily targeted young adults. While each brand will continue to operate independently, ownership of both brands enables us to expand the breadth of customers we serve together, while also enabling each brand to better differentiate its offering to its core consumer.”
Both gaming chains have locations in Jacksonville.
Dave & Buster’s is located on Salisbury Road.
Main Event is located on Philips Highway, near the Avenues Mall.
