None — A family man is accused of having dirty pictures of children on his I-pod.
Investigators say there were more than a thousand pictures of child porn on Doug Halpin's I-pod touch. Neighbors tell Action News it's a side of him they've never seen.
There are signs of family and children all through a quiet Southside neighborhood. It came as a shock when we told people there Doug Halpin was arrested on child pornography charges. "Having a son it's pretty disturbing," said one neighbor.
You can see a children's playground from Halpins yard. In fact a neighbor told us Halpin has 5 kids of his own and always seemed nice. His neighbor didn't want her face shown or name used. "We're cordial. We say hello every morning."
Friday, Halpin was arrested after police found 1,200 child porn pictures on his I-pod touch. Police say the children were as young as five years old and pictured performing sex acts with adult men. The graphic images were discovered after Halpin lost the I-pod touch at the airport.
He's now out of jail on bond. He wasn't home when Action News went to his door Monday. His neighbor says if the child porn charges are true, "Its absolutely disgusting."
The police report states Halpin works for Transflo, a subsidiary of CSX. A spokesman for the company had no comment other than they'll cooperate fully with police if asked.
