High Springs, FL — A 1-year-old child was killed Saturday morning at the Ginnie Springs campsite.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the little boy was hit by a car when the driver backed up, not knowing the boy was behind him.
The child was flown to UF Health Shands Hospital, where he died.
The report said the child and the 26-year-old driver are both from Lehigh Acres.
