Fire forces Murray Hill family out of their home

Jacksonville, FL — A family of six is being helped by the Red Cross after a fire ripped through their home.

The fire started around 11:30 a.m. Friday at a home on Rosselle Street in Murray Hill.

Everyone was able to get out without any serious injuries.

An electrical issue caused the fire, according to Jacksonville Fire and Rescue.

This is one of several fires in the Jacksonville area recently.

In an effort to make sure no one is hurt in a fire, JFRD provides and installs free smoke detectors for any qualifying Jacksonville resident living in a single-family or two-family residence.
