Restaurant Report: Bird is not the word at Jacksonville wing restaurant

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Every week, Action News Jax’s Ben Becker reports on violations state inspectors find at your favorite places to eat in the Original Restaurant Report.

This week, state inspectors discovered more than wings at Duval Wings on Dunn Avenue near Lem Turner Road, including one dead roach and two flying insects, a time/temperature safety violation, and raw food not separated from ready-to-eat food. It was temporarily closed.

Elsewhere, O.C. White’s Restaurant on Avenida Menendez near Marine Street was cited for time/temperature safety violations, bar stuff in the handwash sink, and proof of employee training not available.

Inspectors say Network Bar & Grill on Cesery Boulevard near Arlington Road had one dead roach and two flying insects, water leaking from a pipe, and a microwave interior was soiled.
