JSO: iPhone, wallet taken during robbery in Murray Hill

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a reported robbery with injuries that took place Sunday night in the 1100 block of Murray Drive.

A man was approached just after 7 p.m. by two men who took his iPhone and wallet, according to JSO. 

When the victim tried to run and flee north on Murray Drive, he was shot in the back, possibly by a pellet gun or a small-caliber handgun. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to be OK.

The persons of interest fled east down Alpha Drive. Police say they are wearing red clothing.

The man's iPhone was recovered but his wallet was not.
