PUTNAM COUNTY, FL — A person is dead and two others are hurt following a shooting early morning Tuesday, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they responded to the shooting around 3 a.m. near Gunby Court and Walnut Street in Crescent City where three people were discovered suffering from gunshot wounds.
The Sheriff’s Office said one person died at scene. Emergency crews transported one man by ambulance and another by helicopter. The conditions of both men are unknown.
Detectives are now working to locate the occupants of a dark colored Jeep that was in the area at the time of the shooting and may have seen something.
The Sheriff’s Office says that vehicle’s tag number is Y61 8KY.
