What we know right now:
- 5-week-old Demarion Hampton has been found safe just after noon Tuesday after being reported missing.
- Police believed Demarion Hampton was with 17-year-old Charteria Pittman of Palatka.
- Family said the baby is with Pittman's stepmother.
PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida Amber Alert was canceled for a 5-week-old boy from Palatka. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued the alert early Tuesday morning for Demarion Hampton. FDLE said Hampton was last seen Monday in Palatka.
Police said he disappeared from 1900 block of Madison Street, which is near Highway 100.
The family did not contact police until 8 p.m. Monday, and Demarion was considered endangered.
FDLE said Demarion Hampton could be traveling with 17-year-old Charteria Pittman of Palatka, and may have last been seen at a Greyhound Bus Station in Jacksonville.
The Palatka Police Department said Pittman took Demarion Hampton from his mother, 18-year-old, Donshay Quateria Hampton, around 9 a.m. Monday to have holiday photos taken.
"I thought she was going to bring him back the same day. When I saw him leave, I thought he was going to come back the same day," said Donshay Hampton.
PPD said the infant was last seen with Pittman around 2:30 p.m. in Palatka.
"I'm just really hurting right now," said Donshay Hampton. "I just really want my baby back."

Police said Pittman has friends and possibly a boyfriend in the Jacksonville area.

"I've been trying to contact her (Charteria Pittman) all day to bring my baby back," said Donshay Hampton. "And she hasn't replied to no text messages, or nothing."
Demarion was last seen wearing a red Jordan-brand onesie and red socks. Pittman was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and gray, black and white pants.
PPD told Action News the family got a tip that the woman is at a hotel. However, police said no one at the hotel saw someone matching the description.
