FDLE: Alachua 5-year-old boy missing

UPDATE: Missing child alert has been canceled

ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE JULY 7 AT 7:30 A.M.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a missing child alert for Alachua County 5-year-old Jaxson Prows Saturday.

Prows was last seen in the 2200 block of Southwest 170th Street in Newberry, according to police.

FDLE said the child was wearing a red and blue tank top with white stripes. Prows is caucasian with brown hair, brown eyes and weighs 50 pounds.

He may be with 40-year-old Erin Hontz in a beige 2004 Toyota Sienna, tag number BZAX67. The car's rear driver side window is broken and was repaired with duct tape.

Hontz was last see wearing a blue and white blouse with a blue ruffle collar and a camouflage Mossy Oak hat. She is 4 feet, 11 inches tall, 110 pounds and has brown eyes and brown hair.
