A flight to New York City was diverted Tuesday to Jacksonville after hydraulic issues.
American Airlines flight 1139 from Cancun to JFK was diverted after an indicator light in the cockpit reported a possible mechanical issue, the company said.

The Boeing 737 with 154 passengers and six crew members on board landed safely at 9:43 a.m.
American Airlines said a maintenance team will evaluate the aircraft.
The company is sending a replacement aircraft from its Miami hub to Jacksonville to take passengers to JFK.
