JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax reporter Ryan Nelson is on the scene:
An armed robbery left one person dead and one injured Saturday at 3:56 a.m., according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
From the investigation, JSO found that the victims' vehicle was at the I&S Food Store at 6812 Lillian Road when the suspect attempted to rob them.

During the robbery, the suspect fired several gunshots, hitting two people in the vehicles. The driver and all the victims then drove away from the scene. Within minutes, the driver crashed the vehicle into a fence at Bridge Prep Academy.

JSO said this was when Jacksonville Fire Rescue arrived on the scene. They began treating the injured victims and discovered gunshot wounds on two victims.
The two victims were transported to the hospital. One man died from his injuries, and a woman sustained minor injuries.
