Two arrested in killing of Jacksonville man

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two men were brought back to Jacksonville to face charges in the death of a man whose body was found on railroad tracks last year.

Carl Luke and Brian Walker are accused of hitting Tyshawn Session with a hammer and binding him with electrical cord before dumping his body on railroad tracks.

Railroad workers found Session's body August 21, 2015. He died from suffocation and blunt force trauma, according to police.

Police said Luke and Walker told Session they wanted to buy drugs but planned to rob Session when they invited him to an apartment on University Boulevard.

Police said Luke and Walker hit Session with a hammer then tied him up with electrical cord when he entered the apartment.

They gagged him and put in the back of his car. The two allegedly dumped his body on the tracks then drove to New York.

Jacksonville police traveled to New York after Session’s stolen car was spotted by Rochester police.

They learned the suspects knew Session.

They were extradited to Jacksonville and Luke was later charged with second degree murder and tampering with evidence.

Charges are pending for Walker.
