Award-winning Jacksonville show dog found during drug, gun bust at Atlanta-area home

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Action News Jax’s Beth Rousseau will have the details of this happy reunion on CBS47 and FOX30 Action News Jax at 5:30.

An award-winning show dog from Jacksonville was found by police during a major drug and gun bust at an Atlanta-area home on Thursday.

Crayola, an American bully, and a French bulldog were stolen during a “slider crime” at a Conyers gas station in December. A “slider crime” happens when a motorist gets out and leaves a car door unlocked and then the “slider” slides into the vehicle.

The family who had their dogs stolen was able to buy back the Frenchie a few days later via Cash App.

Action News Jax’s sister station WSB was there Thursday as Crayola was reunited with a family friend at the South Fulton Police Department.

Crayola’s family is headed to the Atlanta area to pick her up. They shared their joy of Crayola being found in a Facebook post.
