BAKER COUNTY, Fla. — A patrol car crash in Baker County injured five people, including a 2-year-old child Wednesday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed the 45-year-old Baker County Sheriff’s officer was responding to an emergency call when the crash happened around 7:20 p.m.
The patrol car was traveling west on U.S. 90 approaching Lowder Street, while another vehicle driven by a 16-year-old girl was traveling north on Lowder Street approaching U.S. 90 when they crashed.

The 16-year-old driver had two passengers — a 38-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy — and the 38-year-old received serious injuries. The 16-year-old and the 2-year-old both had minor injuries.
The officer also sustained minor injuries. There was a 22-year-old woman inside the patrol car at the time of the crash and she received minor injuries as well.
The crash is still under investigation, FHP says. Those involved have not been identified.
