A Baker County woman is dead and four children are hurt after a crash on Monday, troopers said.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Lydia Pons, 30, was driving a 2007 Chevy truck southbound on U.S. Highway 301 north of CR 221 just before 12:30 p.m.
Troopers say it appears she was trying to change lanes when she lost control of the vehicle.
The truck spun out of control, traveled off the paved portion of the roadway and began to overturn.
Troopers said it crashed into a fence, multiple trees and other objects in someone's yard.
Pons was ejected from the truck and pronounced dead at the scene by Bradford County first responders, FHP said.
A 7-year-old boy, 4-year-old girl, 2-year-old boy and infant had minor injuries after the crash and were taken to UF Health, according to troopers.
Next of kin has been located and the children are now with family, troopers said.
