JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — When it comes to going to Jacksonville Jaguars games, no car is needed. A new trend in tailgating is growing.
Boatgating is a twist on the traditional tailgating, where much of the celebration is done on the river. Action News caught up with members of the Freedom Boat Club as they docked Sunday at Metropolitan Park Marina.
They say with boatgating just getting to the game is part of the fun.
"We have a beautiful view of the river from our city, and it's an amazing way to come to a Jaguar game and combine that boating lifestyle with going to see football," said Lisa Almeida, of the Freedom Boat Club.
Metropolitan Park Marina has room for up to 78 boats.
