BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. — A man, believed to be in his 20s, is dead following a shooting in Starke in the wee hours of Christmas Eve.
The Starke Police Department responded to the Whispering Oaks Apartments on South Water Street at 12:05 a.m. Thursday regarding a shooting.
When officers arrived to the area, they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle.
Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Criminal investigators, the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement responded to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
