Brooks Rehab hosts summer slam

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Athletes with physical disabilities from all around the county gathered at the Jacksonville Ice and Sportsplex this weekend for Summer Slam.

The Brooks Adaptive Sports and Recreation Program hosted their annual Brooks Rehabilitation Summer Slam Quad Rugby Tournament.

Teams from all around the county participate, including Jacksonville’s Brooks Bandits.

Summer Slam is intended to show fans what quad rugby, also known as “murderball,” is all about.

Quad rugby offers individuals with physical disability a chance to participate in a competitive sport.
