GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — A Brunswick man has been charged with murder after a fatal shooting Friday night, the Glynn County Police Department said.
Officers responded around 9:36 p.m. Friday to a residence in the Old Cypress Mill Road area after it was reported a man had been shot, police said.
When officers and Glynn County Fire Rescue personnel arrived, they found the man had died from his injuries.
The victim was identified as Roy Harris II, 48, of Brunswick.
GCPD detectives and crime scene personnel processed the scene and began their investigation. Detectives interviewed Jonathan True, 47, also of Brunswick, along with several witnesses.
Following the interviews, police arrested True and charged him with two counts of felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes.
True was booked into the Glynn County Detention Center. Action News Jax is awaiting the arrest report and mugshot.
