JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle traffic crash that left one vehicle lodged into a building in College Park.
Police reported a traffic crash with injuries at the intersection of Tyler Street and Kings Road around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, which is only yards away from a dorm hall at Edward Waters College.
Action News Jax found a sedan and van with significant damage. Police said one person suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital, but did not clarify which car they were in at the time of the crash.
A nearly 9 ft hole left in the side of the building from this crash. Each car was towed away but debris is scattered across the street. From the sidewalk, we found the car’s bumper still in the building. ⚠️Be careful in this College Park area until it’s cleaned up. @ActionNewsJax pic.twitter.com/WTJ8xRMOYN

Neighbors who didn’t want to be on camera said this building has been vacant for years. A broken sign for a dry cleaning store hung above the damage.
Online property search records show Joseph M LLC purchased the building in 2016 and listed the property use as 4100 Manufacture Light.
