According to a Clay County Sheriff's Office arrest report, the victim's father became concerned when he learned about text messages sent by Franzese to his daughter.

The victim told her father that the texts were about college, the arrest report said.
The victim told deputies that she had sex with Franzese in her car near a baseball field and then at the teacher's brother's house.
The Clay County teacher is currently suspended from the school, and Clay County's superintendent said that if the allegations are true, then action will be taken.
"I am greatly disturbed and disheartened that we have to address the allegations of inappropriate behavior between a teacher and a minor. I will tell you as superintendent of schools this will not be tolerated in our school district,” said Clay County Superintendent Addison Davis said.
