Orange Park Mall closes "out of an abundance of caution”

ORANGE PARK, Fla. — The Orange Park Mall announced its doors would close at 3 p.m. Sunday “out of an abundance of caution.” The announcement came on the second day of protests in Jacksonville that saw damage inflicted on businesses and government buildings downtown.

“Safety is our top priority. We are working closely with the Clay County Police Department to ensure the safety of our guests, retailers and employees. Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to temporarily close Orange Park Mall today at (Sunday, May 31st) at 3pm. We will continue to monitor the situation and work with local authorities to determine when it is safe to open again.
