Coast Guard rescues 2 boaters after 51-foot boat becomes disabled near St. Johns Inlet

ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla — Coast Guard crews responded to two boaters Sunday after their 51-foot sailboat became disabled near the St. Johns River Inlet.

Around 6:30 a.m., the Coast Guard was notified by boaters on the Spirit of Liberty that the boat had been disabled and lost power.

According to the Coast Guard, due to weather, the boat was unable to be put under tow.
