NORTHEAST FLORIDA — Northeast Florida is waking up to much cooler weather as a cold front moves through Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will start off in the 40s inland and 50s along the coast. Action News Jax Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh says the northerly breeze will pick up through the morning as well.
Later in the day, sunny skies will bring highs only into the upper 50, struggling to get into the 60s. Some patchy inland frost is possible through the night and into Wednesday morning for residents near and west of Highway 301.
Ahead of holiday travel, weather is looking good across the board. Thanksgiving Day will be dry with temperatures starting in the 40s and moving into the upper 60s for the afternoon.
While recovering from a Thanksgiving feast, temperatures will warm up a little bit Friday with highs in the low 70s.
