Investigators say Jackson used someone else’s personal information without their consent to secure more than $100,000 in loans.

Action News Jax law and safety expert Dale Carson says these kinds of crimes could mean up to 15 years in prison.

“The likely outcome is that he will agree to return the funds and exchange for a reduced sentence, and that’s called a plea deal,” Carson said.

Jackson has worked with prominent political figures like Rep. Corrine Brown, Rep. Angie Nixon, and has been active in a number of community events.

Jackson’s LinkedIn lists him as the COO of First Coast Leadership Foundation. Only Action News Jax spoke with the CEO of the organization, Nahshon Nicks.

“We are cooperating with JSO’s investigation and Mr. Jackson is no longer employed with our organization,” Nicks said.

Action News Jax took a look at his history and found that Jackson had been charged with fraud twice before. In 2011, he was accused of stealing thousands from Ribault High School, where he worked as a student activities director.

In 2015, he was charged with stealing checks from a Clay County realty company he worked for. Jackson was also accused of fraudulently using that same business owner’s banking information to pay JEA and Comcast accounts.
