Daughter of Jacksonville political strategist resigns from White House job

Caroline Wiles

The daughter of a local political strategist was among the six people dismissed by the White House on Thursday for failing FBI background checks.

Politico reports that Caroline Wiles -- daughter of Susie Wiles, who was Florida Senior Strategist for President Donald J. Trump's Florida campaign -- resigned last Friday prior to the background check being finished.

The background check was an SF86 and "includes questions on the applicant's credit score, substance use and other personal subjects," according to Politico.

Caroline Wiles was set to be President Trump's director of scheduling, but two sources tell Politico that Wiles will now work for the Treasury.
