Two North Jacksonville offices were forced to shut down after a driver crashed into the building along Dunn Avenue Wednesday morning.
JSO said the driver was an older woman who pressed the wrong petal and lost control, pushing the car into two offices within a strip mall. No one was hurt.

“It sounded like an explosion, a big explosion, like, Boom! Then you hear the glass shatter behind it,” Porchia Taylor. She and her sister, Lakefia Lee witnesses the crash.
Action News Jax tried to speak with the driver at the scene but she declined to answer any questions. However, she told reporter Elizabeth Pace she was OK.
A viewer sent Action News Jax a video and pictures of a blue car sitting halfway in a strip mall. The crash damaged two offices within the building after it tore down a glass wall, smashed through a neighbor’s wall, broke the door frame and cut out power.

Employees who work in neighboring offices told Pace the crash rattled the building but didn’t cause any damage.
Action News Jax has reached out to own of the building to learn if anyone was inside at the time. Neighbors said the offices has not been in use for several months.
