COVID-19 rapid testing site opens in Neptune Beach

NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. — Telescope Health and the City of Neptune Beach have teamed up to open a COVID-19 rapid testing site.

The drive-thru-only testing site opened Monday, August 2 at 540 Atlantic Blvd (the former K-Mart parking lot).

The site is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed daily from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The site is only offering rapid tests and is self-pay-only, no insurance is accepted. The cost of the rapid test is $125.

After you have been tested and paid, you can submit your own bill to insurance for reimbursement.

No appointment is necessary. However, you must check in prior to arrival. Registration will be completed after you arrive.

You can check in for testing here.

Testing is available for ages three and up, and the results are ready within two hours.

According to Telescope Health, the “tests have up to a 97.6% sensitivity if testing within first 5 days of symptoms.”

Telescope Health’s website says they are working on adding PCR testing soon, and that this site plans to remain open based on community demand.
