Crash on Dunn Avenue kills 17-year-old, injures 3 others

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 17-year-old girl was fatally injured in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Monday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The 17-year-old was one of four passengers in a Honda Accord traveling on US Hwy 1 on New Kings Road around 3 p.m.

The car turned in front of a red Freightliner tractor-trailer on Dunn Avenue which caused a collision.

The 17-year-old passenger died from her injuries. The driver, a 20-year-old, had minor injuries but the three other teen passengers all sustained critical injuries.

The 47-year-old male driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured.
