Everything you need to know about new COVID-19 monoclonal antibody treatment in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — AUG. 17 UPDATE, 1:45 p.m.: The treatment center will now be open seven days a week, Mon. - Sun. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Governor Ron DeSantis announced Monday the mobile site for the monoclonal COVID-19 antibody treatment would be moving long-term to the Jacksonville Public Library starting Tuesday.

The treatment is located at the Main Library Conference Center on 304 North Main St. in downtown Jacksonville.

The site will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Two hours of free parking will be available at the following locations:

  • Library Parking Garage
    • Only First Floor and First Floor Ramp
  • 33 West Duval Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202
    • Please use the garage ramps to exit the garage onto Duval Street
  • You may also use any Parking Meter parking spot marked Patient Parking located on:
    • Duval Street between Ocean Street and Laura Street
    • Monroe Street between Laura Street and Main Street

The monoclonal antibody treatment should be administered as soon as possible after COVID-19 diagnosis. Or as soon as a high-risk individual is aware of the exposure.

The treatment has been authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration under an Emergency Use Authorization for use in adults and pediatric patients, 12 and older.

The treatment is for those who have “either been diagnosed or exposed to someone with COVID-19 and are at high risk for progression to severe illness, hospitalization, or death,” the city stated.

There is no doctor referral required for the treatment.

This center is state funded and is free for patients.
