JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A police officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was shot while serving a DEA warrant in a Ribault neighborhood.
The incident happened Monday morning in the area of 7200 Rutledge Pearson Drive. JSO said the officer was injured by a suspect but is expected to be OK.

Officers are asking people to avoid the area.
This active scene is not far from Ribault High School. Duval County Public Schools told Action News Jax the school is not on lockdown.
The sheriff’s office plans to give an update regarding the incident at 2 p.m.
