Jacksonville police: Man fatally shot while walking through parking lot of Popeyes on Dunn Avenue

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is dead after he was shot while walking through the parking lot of Popeyes on Dunn Avenue on Monday afternoon.

Police say a woman driving a dark red/burgundy colored SUV pulled into the parking lot where the man was walking and shot him in the torso.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The man and the woman may know each other, but officers said they could not confirm if that was the case.
