Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office searching for evidence, possibly human remains, on Westside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is searching on the Westside for evidence, which may include human remains.

Police started searching off Chaffee Road South and Crystal Springs Road earlier Wednesday.

JSO said it is hard to say how long detectives will stay at the scene. They will stay until they find what they or looking for, or until they’re satisfied they are not going to find what they are looking for.

They cannot say which case they are investigating, JSO said.
