JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — All lanes have reopened hours after a deadly crash on I-295 South at Blanding Boulevard in Jacksonville on Thursday morning.
According to the crash report, an SUV and a semi-truck were both traveling southbound on I-295. The semi-truck was traveling slower due to traffic and the SUV collided with the rear of the truck.
The driver of the SUV, a 32-year-old woman, was killed in the crash. The 56-year-old man who drove the semi-truck was uninjured.
The area was shut down as troopers investigated the crash.
Crew with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to the crash shortly after 8 a.m.
