JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two people were stabbed at the Mayport Food Store at 2550 Mayport Road on Friday after a physical altercation occurred.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the area around 2 p.m. and found both victims with non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported to the hospital.
According to police, three people who have not been identified were having an ongoing dispute that resulted in an altercation and ended with two of the people being stabbed.

The suspect was gone before police arrived.
Police believe this was not a random incident as the three involved knew each other. They say there are no threats to the community.
The investigation is still underway, and police do not know the details of the dispute or if the three involved were homeless or not.
