JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death that occurred early Sunday morning on Dunn Avenue.
According to JSO, a security guard responded to a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of 1106 Dunn Avenue at 1 a.m.
The security guard saw an individual slumped over in the seat of the vehicle and notified police. JSO and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department arrived and the victim, who has not been identified, was pulled from the vehicle and transported to the hospital.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have taken over the investigation and are working to identify the victim as well as canvass the neighborhood for witnesses. The death is being treated as suspicious and foul play is suspected.
