JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — LifeSouth, a nonprofit community blood bank, has an emergency need for donors after facing a shortage in blood supply.

While donations have declined, the severe winter weather impacting the country has increased the need for blood donors.

LifeSouth asks that blood donors please consider donating blood during a LifeSouth blood drive. Blood donors with type O positive are especially needed.
