Local girls make history as first female Eagle Scouts in nation

Almost 1,000 young girls across the nation were sworn in as the first girls ever to be part of the Eagle Scouts.
These girls have earned more than 30,000 merit badges and have provided 130,000 hours of community service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Making history, these girls have made a positive impact across the world. Girls from Miami, Honolulu, Boston, and even parts of Asia and Europe have participated in this history-making inaugural class.
13 girls right here in Northeast Florida were part of the inaugural class.
