JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

Two Jacksonville friends and women business owners are asking for the public’s help for their upcoming “Feed the Homeless” event.

Latoya Butler is teaming up with Chameika Jones to put on a holiday giveaway for the homeless.  They are asking for the public’s help to collect essential personal items and snacks.

They are asking for the public to donate: deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, brushes, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, travel-size soap and shampoo, baby wipes, sleeping bags, blankets, clothing, back packs or draw string sacks, chips, fruit cups, fruit snacks, snack cakes, water, sodas, canned sausages, bread, lunch meat and cheese.

Butler says the “Feed the Homeless” event is December 12, 2020 at 11am at 325 North Main Street.

They will also be providing home cooked meals to the homeless at the event.
