Arlington shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is expected to be OK after being shot multiple times outside the Lansdowne Crossing Apartments in Arlington.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said officers were called out to the complex about a shooting just before 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Police said the man, who is in his 30s, was sitting in a vehicle, when another car pulled up behind his car and the occupant(s) began shooting. The car, described as an older, 2-door Mitsubishi, then left the area.

Investigators are working to learn more information about how many people were inside the silver car and who fired at the victim’s vehicle.

JSO said the man was shot in the neck, shoulder and arm. Officers say after the shooting, the man got out of his vehicle and walked up to the nearest apartment door and collapsed.

He was taken to a hospital. During a news conference, JSO said the man was in stable condition.

An investigation is underway. Authorities believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
