JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened on Jacksonville’s Southside Monday morning.
According to JSO, a person was driving in the 8000 block of A.C. Skinner Parkway around 7:12 a.m. and was shot -- causing the driver to lose control and crash at the entrance of the Steele Creek apartment complex. The person is being treated at a hospital.

The sheriff’s office does not believe there is any current danger to the community. Detectives are investigating the incident. Police do not a suspect in custody at this time.
