Teacher at Christian school in Jacksonville facing charge of lewd conduct with a student, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Action News Jax is working to learn more about a teacher from Lighthouse Christian School who’s under arrest on several charges.

One of them is lewd and lascivious molestation on a minor.

That teacher is 53-year-old Angela Stewart and on Wednesday morning, she had her first court appearance in Duval County after being arrested.

The other charges Stewart is facing include:

• Authority figure solicits or engages in lewd conduct with a student
• Lewd and lascivious behavior with a person 12 or older, but less than 16 years
• Unlawful use of two-way communication device
